The Red Indian fish is an orangey, red colour. It has a large dorsal fin that stands high above its head.
 
They are a type of prowfish.
 Red indian fish are found along the southern coast.They are a subtropical species. They occur in deeper coastal waters.
They hide under rocky ledges.
 
The red Indian fish lives alone.
