The sponge can be any shape, size or colour. Some feel slimy and others feel rough. 

Some are straight and thin; some are round and fat. 

They live mostly around rocks. They eat by pumping water through their body. They catch bits of leftover food in the water.

Some sponges are poisonous. They are eaten by leatherjackets and nudibranchs.
